Şarkikaraağaç is a charming district that beautifully reflects the rich cultural heritage of Anatolia. It is located near the Kızıldağ National Park, known for its cedar forests and clean, oxygen-rich air. Our Vocational School was established on October 31, 1995, as an institution affiliated with Süleyman Demirel University. Following the enactment of Law No. 7141 on the Amendment of the Higher Education Law and Certain Laws and Decree Laws, published in the Official Gazette No. 30425 dated May 18, 2018, the School was transferred to the Isparta University of Applied Sciences.

The school, founded under the name Şarkikaraağaç Vocational School, occupies a 42,000 m² campus area, including 4,000 m² of indoor facilities. The campus consists of a main educational building (Block A), a dining hall with a capacity of 200 persons, a 24-bed guesthouse, a storage facility, and outdoor sports areas.

Sports Facilities

The School has one open volleyball court, one basketball court, and one football field. Interdepartmental and inter-school tournaments and matches are organized regularly on these fields.

Sports Activities

The School attaches great importance to sports activities, aiming to enable students to make effective use of their free time, improve their social and physical skills, and maintain their physical and mental health. Accordingly, tournaments in football, volleyball, basketball, and chess are organized, along with hiking and camping activities.

Social Activities

Student clubs are established to provide opportunities for students to engage in cultural and artistic activities such as theatre, folk dance, and music.

Spring Festival: Held traditionally every May, the festival features concerts, competitions, exhibitions, performances, and student-run booths displaying handmade crafts and creative works.

Freshmen’s Day: This event aims to help new students socialize, adapt to their new environment, and integrate into university life.

Graduation Ceremony: Each June, the School organizes a Graduation Night and Helva Day, celebrated with various cultural and social events in a festive atmosphere.

Accommodation Services

The district has a Credit and Dormitories Institution (KYK) dormitory with a capacity of 397 students (229 female and 168 male). In addition, students may stay in private dormitories, apartment-style accommodations, and studios, or rent houses in the district.

The School employs a total of 40 staff members, including 18 academic and 22 administrative personnel.

  • 1 Conference Hall
    Additionally, a veterinary hospital is available, including an operating room, an examination room, a laboratory, and animal shelters.

Cultural Activities

Various seminars, panels, and symposiums are periodically organized by the academic staff and guest speakers to promote cultural enrichment. Students also benefit from the library located within the same campus under the Şarkikaraağaç Tourism Vocational School.

Nutrition and Health Services

A dining hall with a capacity of 200 students serves lunch daily. Cafeteria and canteen services are also available for students seeking light meals and refreshments.

Students who do not have health insurance can access healthcare services provided by the local health center, the state hospital, or the University’s Medico-Social Center.
