General Information

Students who achieve a sufficient score in the national university entrance examination or meet the requirements for direct admission are eligible to enroll in the Business Management Program.

This is a two-year associate degree program that provides students with a comprehensive understanding of business management concepts, theories, principles, and practices. The language of instruction is Turkish.


Degree Awarded

Students who successfully complete all courses in the curriculum are awarded an Associate Degree in Business Management and receive the title of Business Management Technician.


Qualification Level

Short Cycle (Associate Degree) – Level 5 according to the Turkish Higher Education Qualifications Framework (TYYÇ) and compatible with the first cycle of the Bologna Process.


Admission Requirements

Applicants must hold a high school diploma and be placed in the program through the nationwide university entrance examination conducted by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM).


Recognition of Prior Learning (Horizontal and Vertical Transfers)

Students transferring from equivalent higher education programs may be exempt from courses previously completed, provided that the course contents and credit values are deemed equivalent by the department board.


Qualification Requirements and Regulations

The qualification requirements and regulations are structured in accordance with the national qualifications framework determined by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) and aligned with the Bologna Process standards.


Program Objectives

The program aims to train professionals who:

  • are conscious of Atatürk’s Principles and the History of Reforms,

  • possess strong Turkish language and communication skills,

  • can apply mathematical and analytical methods in business settings,

  • have a basic command of English,

  • understand the concepts, objectives, and functions of business operations and their relationships with the environment,

  • are knowledgeable about management theories, managerial functions, and contemporary issues,

  • comprehend accounting systems, including business assets, resources, and transactions,

  • are familiar with the Turkish Legal System and commercial legislation,

  • understand human resources management, labor, and social security laws,

  • grasp fundamental economic concepts,

  • possess knowledge in production, marketing, and sales management,

  • are skilled in written and oral communication using information technologies,

  • embrace the philosophy of total quality management,

  • and observe ethical, safety, and professional standards in their field.


Career Opportunities

Graduates can find employment in purchasing, production, marketing, and accounting departments of both public and private enterprises, as well as in banks and various commercial organizations.


Access to Further Studies

Graduates who successfully pass the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS) may continue their education in bachelor’s degree programs such as Business Administration within Faculties of Economics and Administrative Sciences.
They may also transfer without examination to the Anadolu University Open Education Faculty to complete a bachelor’s degree.


Program Purpose

The aim of the Business Management Program is to train skilled professionals equipped with administrative and organizational knowledge to ensure the efficient execution of activities in public and private sector enterprises, effective use of resources, and achievement of organizational goals.


Examination and Assessment

As a general rule, assessment is based on one midterm (40%) and one final exam (60%) per course. Some courses may additionally require assignments or supplementary exams as part of the evaluation process.


Graduation Requirements

To graduate, students must:

  • successfully complete all courses within the legal study period,

  • achieve a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.00 out of 4.00,

  • and fulfill all program requirements in accordance with university regulations.
